Skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker
We are seeking a skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will specialise in precision sheet metal work, including bending, forming, finishing, and fabricating metal components according to customer specifications. This role involves working with both traditional and exotic materials to produce high-quality aerospace and defence components.
Key responsibilities
- Include bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, assembly, deburr, stretching and inspecting to tight tolerances on aluminium, stainless, titanium and Inconel.
- Working to drawings, sketches and verbal instructions
- Setting and operating machinery supplied for the manufacture of sheet metal components such as fly press, brake press, and linisher
- Ensuring that all tools and jigs supplied for the manufacture of sheet metal components are up to issue and in a good condition
- Hand form prototype panels and components from flat sheet metal and aluminum
- Execute deburring, drilling, trimming, filing, and grinding operations
We are looking for an individual with ….
- Extensive experience in precision sheet metal fabrication, including sheet metal processes, assembly of fabricated components, and integration of machined parts.
- Experience with aerospace or defence sector manufacturing
- Hand forming experience with various sheet metal techniques
- Experience of working with various types of exotic metals such as Titanium and Inconel’s
